Acting Assistant Chief Brandon Barnhill is a dedicated, proactive law enforcement professional with extensive experience in supervision, investigations, and management.  During his career, he has been accountable for staffing, budgeting, policies, procedures, integration, crime prevention, and investigation. 

During his career with the Paducah Police Department, Barnhill  has served as a sergeant, adminstrative captain, SWAT commander, and in May 2010 became Acting Assistant Chief. 

Acting Assistant Chief Barnhill holds a B.S from Murray State University and a M.S. in Criminal Justice from Andrew Jackson University.  In 2007, he completed the Administrative Officers Course/Executive Program through the Southern Police Institute.  Acting Assistant Chief Barnhill has more than 1300 hours of advanced training in executive development, police supervision, and internal affairs.    

Acting Assistant Chief Barnhill is very active in the community.  He is a criminal justice instructor at West Kentucky Community & Technical College.  He also is a member of Rotary Club International and the Leadership Paducah Foundation Board.  Barnhill is the former Vice-chair of the Paducah Area Chapter of the American Red Cross and a former member of the McCracken County Domestic Violence Task Force.  Barnhill and his family are members of First Baptist Church in Paducah.
