
Assistant Chief Stacey Grimes joined the Paducah Police Department in 1994. Assistant Chief Grimes has served as a patrol officer, community policing officer, special weapons and tactics team (SWAT) operator, community policing sergeant, patrol sergeant, patrol captain, criminal investigations captain, and administrative captain. He was promoted to Assistant Chief in September 2005 and led the Operations Division until January 2010 when he transferred to the Support Services Division. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and Master of Science in Law and Public Policy from California University of Pennsylvania.
Assistant Chief Grimes is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute's Police Executive Leadership Graduate Program, the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Executive Development Program, and the FBI Command Institute. Assistant Chief Grimes is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police, Paducah Lion's Club, and a past president of the Jackson Purchase Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #15. he is president of the board for Paducah Area Christmas Cops and serves on the board of directors for the Paducah Lion's Club. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters in his free time.
