Jonathan Perkins was approved as Interim City Manager by the Paducah Board of Commissioners on March 9, 2010.

Perkins was hired in March 1991 as the City of Paducah Finance Director.  Perkins is a Certified Public Accountant in Missouri and Kentucky.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Truman State University.

Perkins has nearly 30 years of experience in accounting.  He has served as the Assistant Finance Director for the City of Savannah, Georgia; the Finance Director for the City of Mexico, Missouri; the Financial and Audit Specialist for the Missouri Department of Economic Development; an Accountant for Jefferson City, Missouri; and an Auditor for the Missouri State Auditor's Office.

Perkins is a member of the Paducah Lions Club, a life member of Sigma Pi, and a member of the Kentucky Government Finance Officers' Association. 

Perkins is a Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Paducah's First Baptist Church.  He is married with two adult children and three grandchildren.
