The Paducah Parks Services Department will host Arbor Walk on Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Noble Park. This is a free event for all ages to celebrate Arbor Day, a nationally-celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and care. Arbor Walk participants should meet at the Arts and Crafts Building and Shelter 19 next to the Greenway Trail entrance at Noble Park. Then, the group will walk the Greenway Trail to Stuart Nelson Park looking for specific trees along the way. There will be Arbor Day themed goodie bags handed out at the end of the walk.
Arbor Day is typically celebrated nationally the last Friday in April. However, to provide an opportunity for more families to enjoy the activities, the Arbor Walk will be held Saturday.
The Greenway Trail is a 1.75 mile non-motorized trail between County Park Road and Noble Park. The section between Stuart Nelson Park and Noble Park is approximately 1.2 miles.
