Due to an abundance of brush at the City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street, starting today and until further notice the facility will no longer accept brush and yard waste from commercial vendors.  Paducah and McCracken County residents can continue to bring yard waste to the facility.  The City apologizes for any inconvenience.

The facility has wood chip compost and premium compost available for purchase by the bucket load.  A two yard bucket load of wood chip compost costs $5 while the premium compost costs $15.  Plain wood chips and leaf compost are not available at this time.

The regular hours of operation for the Compost Facility are as follows:

• Monday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Closed on Sunday.
