The City of Paducah Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street will reopen Friday, January 27 at its regularly scheduled hours.  The facility has been closed since January 11 for the routine grinding of brush.

The Compost Facility accepts yard waste from Paducah and McCracken County residents.  The facility has wood chip compost available for purchase by the bucket load.  A two yard bucket load costs $5.   The leaf compost costs $15 for a two yard bucket load.

 The regular hours of operation for the Compost Facility are as follows:

• Monday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Closed on Sunday.
