Death of Joel Scarbrough, City of Paducah Director of Inspections
PADUCAH, KY—The City of Paducah is saddened by the death of Joel Scarbrough, Director of Inspections. Scarbrough died today at Western Baptist Hospital after a long illness.
Mayor Bill Paxton says, “I want to express my sympathy to Joel’s family. Joel was a very dedicated employee, and it was obvious that he loved Paducah and worked hard to make it a better place to live. He will be greatly missed.”
City Manager Jeff Pederson says, “In the short time I knew and worked with Joel, I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and conscientious. His loss will be greatly felt.”
Pederson adds, “Measures are being put in place to insure that the important work of the Inspection Department will continue forward during this transition.”
Joel Scarbrough began working for the City of Paducah on December 7, 1987.
