Subject: Fulton County Detention Center Escapee Caught in Paducah
Suspects: Joseph Powell, 35, arrested on warrants for Escape 1st, Fleeing or Evading 2nd (on foot), and criminal charge of Possession of Marijuana.
Paducah Police received a tip that Mr. Joseph Powell was in the area of the 700 block of Bethel Street. Paducah Police Officers responded to that area and observed Mr. Powell walking south on Bethel Street. He was apprehended without incident.
Mr. Powell had a Fulton County warrant for Escape 1st for walking away from the Fulton County Detention Center on 10/22/2011. He also had a McCracken County warrant for Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd (on foot), in which he ran from Paducah Police officers on 11/14/2011 from the Jackson House. Upon arrest, marijuana was found in his possession and he was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Mr. Powell was lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
