On Monday, October 31, Jefferson Street will be closed between 19th and 25th Streets from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  This neighborhood is a popular location for Halloween trick-or-treaters with approximately 2000 people expected.  The City of Paducah is closing the street for the safety of the pedestrians.  

The Paducah Police Department recommends that general trick-or-treating in neighborhoods throughout the City be held between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Halloween.  According to Chapter 66 Section 196 of the City of Paducah Code of Ordinances, the curfew for minors (less than 18 years of age) is 11:00 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday.
