This afternoon Paducah City Manager Jeff Pederson accepted the resignation of Paducah Renaissance Alliance (PRA) Executive Director Carrie LeNeave. LeNeave had been with PRA since July. The resignation letter reads as follows:
Dear Jeff:
Please accept my resignation as Executive Director of Paducah Renaissance Alliance. I feel that I can better serve Paducah and its growth working in the private sector in commercial real estate. Thank you for this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Carrie LeNeave
LeNeave says, “I feel strongly about the potential growth of Paducah. I would like to use my contacts from my previous experience in commercial development to bring new national and local retailers into the Paducah area.”
Pederson says, “Carrie has made the determination that she wants to remain active in development/redevelopment efforts in Paducah as a private real estate developer. I wish her the best, and we look forward to the Paducah area benefitting from her future success.”
Pederson will work with PRA chairperson Maurie McGarvey to assure the work of PRA moves forward. Pederson expects the current effort to recruit and staff key positions in the agency will continue.
PRA, a national Main Street program, serves to develop and enrich Paducah's Renaissance Area. The Renaissance Area is made up of the LowerTown Arts District, the historic downtown, and the riverfront. PRA works with private citizens, businesses, and other civic organizations who desire to see the Renaissance Area continue to thrive as a historic district and premier arts and entertainment attraction. PRA receives its primary funding by the City of Paducah and has in place a volunteer board comprised of 11 citizens in the community. PRA operates out of an office located at 605 Broadway.
