Swimming Lessons
The Parks Services Department offers several levels and sessions of swimming lessons. The cost is $35 per session. The sessions are Monday through Thursday for two weeks. The sessions for 2012 are given at 10:45-11:30 a.m. or 6:30-7:15 p.m.
- Session 1 begins June 4
- Session 2 begins June 18
- Session 3 begins July 9
- Session 4 begins July 23
Baby and Me Swim: 6 mos-2 years. Parent involvement required. One or both parents must be in the water. Introduction to the water. Will familiarize babies with water in comfortable environment.
Toddler Swim: 2-4 years. Parent involvement encouraged. One or both parents can be in the water with the child. Children will be taught entry and exit, blowing bubbles, submerging head and face in the water, and jumping in fro the side with confidence. For children who are ready, they also will be taught these skills without the use of floatation devices.
Level 1: 5+ years. Teach swimmers basic swimming skills including front and back float, glide, and flutter kicks. Children are not permitted to use floatation devices in this class.
Level 2: 5+ years. Teach swimmers intermediate skills and begin to teach strokes. Children will learn rhythmic breathing, object retrieval, and the front crawl arm stroke.
Level 3: 5+ years. For more advanced swimmers. Will develop and enhance swimming strokes. Children must be able to pass the Level 2 skills. Child will learn underwater stroke, treading water, back crawl stroke, and more.
Level 4: 5+ years. Will teach advanced swimming strokes and diving and enhance previously learned skills.
Special Events
In addition to the fun of swimming lessons or just playing in the water with your friends, the Parks Services Department offers several other pool-related events such as Dive In Movie nights, Dog Swim, Hawaiian Luau, Paducah Regatta, and Walk the Plank Day. Pool Concession Stand:
Any person interested in being the exclusive concessionaire vendor for the Noble Park Pool conession stand for the 2012 summer season, CLICK HERE for bid speficiations and submit your propsal to Parks Services by May 11, 2012.
Noble Park Pool Rules
- All patrons swimming must wear bathing suits (male suits MUST have an attached liner - no cut offs, basketball shorts, or shorts with underwear)
- All patrons are required to pay entrance fee
- Adults (16+ years) must accompany swimmers 10 years old and younger
- No outside food or drinks allowed in pool area without management permission
- All swimmers in diapers must wear swim pants in all public facilities
- No shoes or clothing with buttons or other adornments
- Rain checks will not be issued for swimmers who have been at the pool for more then one hour or if there is less than one hour until closing
- All food, drink, and smoking must stay in the concession area or grassy areas
- All swimmers wishing to use the diving boards must pass a swim test to the satisfaction of the lifeguards
- Those wishing to use the water slide must be 40" high or pass the swim test.
- Patrons are not allowed to wear shirts, goggles, coverups or other items on the diving boards and water slide. Swimsuits only on the water slide and diving boards.
- The pool reserves the right to refuse entry or ask patron to leave if not following posted rules.
- The pool reserves the right to close early due to weather, maintenance or health issues.
- The pool is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lockers are available for free at the Noble Park Pool.
Pool Rental
- The Noble Park Pool is available for rent for $150 per hour (this includes all lifeguards).
- Rentals are available only on Saturday and Sunday nights after the pool has closed to the public.
- The pool is available Saturdays 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Sundays 5:00-8:00 p.m. in one hour increments.
- The pool is closed to the public during your party and you may bring in the food and drink of your choice (no alcohol allowed).
