 What's New for 2009?

  • Skates up to size 16 (maximum was size 13 last year)
  • Concessions including soups and hot chocolate offered by local businesses
  • Santa House will be onsite and open on Fridays and Saturdays November 27-December 19.  Santa will host children on Fridays 5-7pm and Saturdays noon-5pm.  You can tell Santa your Christmas wishes and have your picture taken with him. 
  • SOLD OUT!!  Knights of Columbus will sell Christmas trees at the Farmer's Market next to the rink.
  • Hooper's Outdoor Center will have a kiosk selling items such as hats and gloves.

Character Skate

Character Skate: skate with costumed friends Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for $3.00 per person. Story time is included in this event.  Character Skate will be held on the following Saturdays:  December 5, December 12, and December 19.   

Paducah Ice Rink Rules

  • No speed skating.
  • No horseplay (racing, tag, etc.)
  • No objects, food or drink allowed on ice.
  • No outside food or drinks are allowind at the Paducah Ice Rink (concessions are available for sale)
  • No spraying or spiking the ice.
  • No trains or long chains during public skating.
  • No profanity.
  • Alcohol and drug usage is prohibited on the premises.
  • The Paducah Ice Rink is a non-smoking facility.
  • Physical and verbal abuse is prohibited.
  • Weapons are prohibited on premises.
  • Damage of facility property is prohibited.
  • Skate at your own risk. 

Party Packages

 Party packages can always be customized and upgraded.

 Party Package 1 in the Birthday Hut:  

  • $75 per hour
  • Admission & skates for up to 14 people

Party Package 2 in the Birthday Hut:

  • $135 per hour
  • Admission & skates for up to 14 people
  • Snack, drink, and cake for each guest
  • Party gift

Additional options available:

  • Printable party invitations are available upon request
  • Birthday parties during Character Skates are available
  • Additional concession tickets are available at $3 each

Facility Rental

$180 per hour, maximum 225 skates available in various sizes

 

Rental availability:

Sundays          6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Wednesdays          4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Weekdays (Dec. 21-Jan. 1)          10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

 

 Sponsorship Opportunities

Last year more than 24,000 people visited the ice skating rink in downtown Paducah.  That number reflects the group rentals and the individuals and families who made cherished memories enjoying the outdoors and Paducah.  Once again for 2009, there are several ways that media outlets and businesses can connect to the ice rink visitors. Examples of sponsorship opportunities include placing your company logo or message on a sign attached to the dasher board around the rink.  Think of these as mini-billboards at a sponsorship cost of $500.  Also, if your company has a mascot, bring the mascot to glide around the rink while mingling with the visitors.  The price would be determined by the amount of time and number of visits by the mascot.
