The Paducah Recreation Center is located at 1527 Martin Luther King Jr., Drive.  The facility includes a gymnasium, stage, kitchen, conference room, and classrooms.  The facility is available for private reservations and events.  See the bottom of this page for information about rental opportunities.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP

Annual membership to the Paducah Recreation Center is $5 per family which includes access to the facility, classes, equipment, etc. during regular operating hours.  The annual membership excludes special events and sports leagues.  Call Paducah Parks at 444-8508 for more information.

Annual membership allows you to participate in all programs and classes for one year at no extra cost.  Sports Leagues, Tournaments, and Special Events are excluded and will have additional registration fees.

Upcoming Classes and Events

Sewing classes

Tuesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm for ages 8 - 18 years.  Materials are provided.  Limit 8 per class. Next session begins May 29th.  Must call the office at 444-8508 to pre-register.

Thursdays from 5:00 - 7:00 pm for 18 years +.  Limit 8 per class.  Next session begins June 2.  Must call the office at 444-8508 to pre-register.

Zumbatomic

Saturday mornings at 10:00 am.  Zumbatomic is for children 4 - 12 years.  This class teaches younger students zumba on their level.  Lots of fun! 

Zumba

Satuday mornings at 11:00 am.  12 years +.  Join us for our adult zumba class!  Get fit to fun music and hip dance moves.

Sports Camp

Sign your 8 -12 year old for our summer sports camp.  Children will learn the fundamentals of a new sport each day.  Sports include swimming, basketball, baseball, kickball, disc golf, golf, soccer, and more.  Schedule changes for each week of camp.  Camp meets at the Paducah Recreation Center Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.  June 4 week and July 30 week.  $75 per week.  Limited space is available.  Must pre-register by calling the office at 444-8508.  No drop ins. 

Cooking Quick Meals for the Whole Family

Cooking with the McCracken County Extension Master Chefs.  Learn how to make meals for your entire family in 45 minutes or less.  Activities will be provided for participating children.   Sessions are Thursdays at 5:30 pm. 

June 7th - Dinner in a crockpot.  Cook your ENTIRE MEAL in a crockpot...including dessert!

June 14th - Dinner in a skillet

 June 28th- Dinner on the Grill

Summer Feeding Program

The USDA Summer Food Program will be available at the Paducah Recreation Center beginning Monday, June 4th.  Lunch will be served from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm and is free for students 0 - 18 years.  Pleast contact Parks Services for more specific information and for a lunch menu at 444-8508. 

FACILITY RULES

• Must wear athletic shoes on gym floor
• Must sign in upon entry and present Member ID card
• No dunking or hanging on rims of basketball goals
• Equipment must be checked out at the office
• Equipment must be signed back in at the office before leaving the facility
• No profanity
• No rough housing
• Must follow additional game rules during league play
• Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, except during after school hour programming (3:30-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday)

FACILITY RENTAL

The Paducah Recreation Center is available for private rentals for tournaments, banquets, parties, etc. on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings.  The facility has enough tables and chairs to seat up to 160 people and is available for rent per hour, 1/2 day (4 hours), or full day (4+ hours). 

To make your reservation, contact Parks Services at 444-8508.  A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at the time the reservation is made for 1/2 day and full day rentals.  The remaining balance must be paid at least 14 business days prior to the reservation date.  A $100 damage deposit is due at the time of the walk thru and will be returned when the keys are returned and the facility has been inspected for damages.

Amenities:  The Paducah Recreation Center has state-of-the-art flooring for basketball, lacrosse, and other activities.  A conference room is available next to the court.  The conference room has a pass-through area to the large kitchen.  In the kitchen, you'll find a refrigerator, work island, a double oven, two stoves, sink, and warming containers.  The kitchen has a concession opening to the sports court.  At the end of the court is a stage.  Upstairs, you'll find a large open area that is open to the court below in addition to a smaller open area perfect for classes.  The restroom facility includes a shower.
