The City of Paducah is a proud 17-year member of Tree City, USA, as designated by the National Arbor Day Foundation. It is one of the oldest members of this designation within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Paducah recognizes the value and benefit of trees and how trees are a major part of the City's character and charm. That is why the City of Paducah is willing to fund informational programs and services such as found below.
Tree Voucher Program
Note: The tree voucher program ended July 1, 2010. Vouchers are good until June 30, 2011.
In response to the need for replacement trees in Paducah's urban forest due to the January 2009 ice storm, the City has created a tree voucher program. Each residential property owner qualifies for a $25 voucher good at a participating nursery.

Fill out the application and return it to the Planning Department at City Hall (300 South 5th Street) in person, by email, or by fax (444-8689). Applications must have a signature from the property owner. We will then complete a voucher for each property you own. Vouchers are limited to only one per verified city address on a first come, first served basis. Approved vouchers can be picked up in person, or we can mail them to you. Please make sure all the contact information is correct.
Assistance may be available for those unable to transport or plant a tree. Please call the Planning Department (444-8690) if you are interested in having a volunteer assist you in obtaining a tree. For a complete list of tree species, please visit a participating nursery. The participating nurseries and a short list of approved tree species are listed on the brochure below. Click Desirable Tree Species for an extended list of desirable trees. Tree availability is subject to nursery stock.
